Unit Standard Title: Conduct outcomes-based assessments

Introduction:  

 This course is designed for people who assess people for their achievement of learning outcomes against specified criteria such as unit standards, exit level outcomes, assessment standard or curriculum statements and qualifications using pre-designed assessment instruments.  The outcomes of this course will provide the learner with competency to conduct assessments within their field of expertise in a fair, reliable and practicable manner that is free of all bias and discrimination against race, gender or disability.  Those who have prior knowledge and experience as assessors may be assessed against this unit standard through RPL.

RPL: (Recognition of Prior Learning): 

A learner who requests RPL will be required to meet all the criteria set out under the assessment criteria and assessment notes in the unit standard

 

Target group:

Management, trainers, mentors, coaches, facilitators and subject matter experts.

Expert level requirements:

1-2 years practical hands on experience in their subject matter

Certification:

A certificate of competence will be issued based on the following:

  • Theoretical assessments during programme;
  • Practical application assessment (POE)
